Sahara Poker Room
The Sahara poker room has some awesome tournaments, which they take seriously. We highly recommend the Sahara poker room simply because they go out of their way to make your experience there enjoyable whether you go there to play in a cash game or one of their poker tournaments. We obviously aren't alone in this opinion because the tournaments are extremely popular and the room is unusually busy almost all the time. Every time we've been there for their 7:00 PM daily tournament, it's been pretty much full with 14 or 15 out of 15 tables being used for the tournament at 12 to a table. The dealers and staff are very courteous and friendly. Don't expect a plush playing area with brand new felt on the tables and beautiful decor, this is the North end of the strip, but compared to Circus Circus or Stardust we really like the Sahara Poker Room. The tables are full size, but capacity is only 9, so there's a little more elbow room than most.
