MGM Grand Poker Room
New Tournament Schedule!
Monday, March 28th, 2005, the highly anticipated MGM poker room opened in the area of the big dome, sandwiched between the new sports book and a snappy new bar with scantily clad dancing cocktail waitresses. The unique, roomy design allows for the feel of a private game, however the noise from the music at the bar distracts some poker players. There are curved walls on the north side and rails far from the action that separates the poker room from the masses that gather to hang out by the bar. This is by no means a separate "room", but the atmosphere and design, and beautiful new high tech tables with marble chip stacking area between the felt and pad make this a place we highly recommend. Strikingly beautiful women seem to be willing to mix it up with the boys here. The only distraction, my strikingly beautiful wife noticed from the get-go, was that the brown striped carpet seemed to clash with the carpet outside the poker area. Massage for the players are offered for $2.00/minute with a 5 minute minimum by a brand new company that sends girls to poker rooms, the MGM poker room being the first in Las Vegas to offer this service.
