Las Vegas Hilton Poker Room

Opened Sep 2 2005

The poker room at Hilton Las Vegas opened in early Sept, 2005, following the lead of many others all around Vegas in the year 2005, due to the continued increase in poker's popularity. Our first visit was on Saturday night, Sep 17. We expect this poker room to be very successful due to its high traffic location within the "super sportsbook" complex. A monitor up front shows a list of games in progress as well as a waiting list, a convenient feature that many of the newer poker rooms are employing. There were about 4 tables seeing action during our 9:00 PM visit. Impressive is the fact that their tournament schedule began shortly after they opened. The manager tells us that the Mon-Thurs 10:30 am tourneys are drawing between 17 and 60 players. A progressive jackpot starting at $2500 is featured. Also, for beginners, please note that lessons are offered at 5:00 PM Mon-Thurs, which is later in the day than any other of the poker rooms that offer lessons.
