Golden Nugget Poker Room

New Poker Room at Golden Nugget as of October, 2006

No more cramped quarters at the Golden Nugget Poker Room, as a brand new, well-appointed 10 table poker room has been built as part of an ongoing property-wide improvement project. The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is already the finest downtown property, but management continues to pour money into improvements and expansion. Check out the new pool with giant slide and aquarium, just outside the shopping mall walkway. The Golden Nugget is one of the better places in Las Vegas and now their poker room matches the rest of the property in terms of appearance and amenities. The Golden Nugget card room, located close to a nice bar and the main cashier cage, features very comfortable plush chairs on rollers, plasma TV screens everywhere, cherry or dark brown wood surroundings, very upscale and classy.

The staff struck us as friendly and willing to help as we sat in the midst of some of the most focused, serious and yet fun-loving gamblers we've run into while playing in the 3 PM tournament. This poker room is a little crowded, despite the addition of square footage, but I like it a lot.
