Bill's Gambling Hall Poker Area
New Poker Room Opened in 2008
Bill's Gambling Hall, formerly the Barbary Coast, now has a couple poker tables up front by the Strip entrance, an idea that O'Shea's down the street came up with a few years ago. The tournaments at Bill's Gambling Hall & Saloon poker area offer the very worst deal in town for the tournament player wanting to find a
fair deal and not just have a little fun with $50. They take a whopping 40% of your $50 for themselves, leaving so little for the prize fund that only foolish gamblers would want to take part in it. Any skill advantage you may have over and above the competition would be wiped out by the huge juice. The structure is 3,000 starting chips with blinds doubling every 15 minutes for the first hour, then more mild increases after the break, but by the time the 2nd hour starts, the blinds are so high that luck is the predominant factor from that point on, like so many other Vegas tourneys.
