2006 World Series of Poker
Step 5, Maximize Your Investment
September 5, 2005-- by Paul Svelmoe
This is the 5th of about 7 articles about how you can make it into next year's World Series of Poker main event for little or no investment. Step 7 will probably be the final main article with addendums to each step made available as the online poker rooms continue to add new 2006 World Series of Poker promotions. You should now have at least a $50 bankroll on at least one of the
poker sites I've mentioned so far. If not, your quest will become a lot easier after you read my
addendum to Steps 1 & 2. In that article, I am giving you a couple of new suggestions which will make Titan Poker's site pale in comparison to what these newly recommended sites have to offer. Don't get me wrong. Titan is still a great place to build your bankroll and I want you to continue to visit them often with the main goal in mind of boosting your total bankroll so that you can use that money earned for WSOP promotions. Titan is fairly quick at withdrawals, so you can win a nice sum there, then withdraw to Neteller, then deposit at another site, such as the one of the ones I'm about to recommend. Other sites will be giving away a lot more seats to the World Series of Poker and your goal is to build up a big enough bankroll to be able to play in many, many of the satellites that lead to the big dance. It is my goal to give you the absolutely best possible places to play that will give you the most possible chances to make your final goal.
Poker.com, Win a WSOP Seat for as Little as $1.10
Note: The 1.10 satellite promotion appears to be over. Step 5 begins in earnest with a great site, not great software, but a great site for playing poker, and run by a great bunch of people. Cash out $50 from whatever site that you've built up that much on and into your Neteller account. Then join Poker.com. Read about their 2006 WSOP satellite program. Also, play in the $100 freerolls which are several times a day, the $2.00 + .20 $100 guaranteed freeze-outs, and/or the Sit N Go's, keeping in mind the 25% rule that I wrote about at the beginning of Step 3 and build up that bankroll! Join Poker.com by clicking on the banner below.
Pokerroom.com
Here's a great site to use if you need a boost for your bankroll. Pokerroom.com offers $1.00 + .10 buy-in tournaments that add $1,000 (4:00 PM ET) and $250 (4:30 PM ET) to the prize fund. These tournaments are every day of the week, except Satuday. And on Saturday, they replace the $1K added with a $2560 added tournament. In other words, if the tournament draws 2,000 players, instead of offering a prize fund of $2,000, it becomes $4,560 on Saturday, and $3,000 on Sun-Fri. You won't find a better "money-added" deal that runs every day on any other poker site. So download Pokerroom.com, make a minimum deposit from your Neteller account and enjoy these fantastic value tourneys.
OK, In Step 6, I will be writing about the very best online poker sites you need to join if you've built a bankroll between about $150 and $350. You're going to find a great deal more freedom to move money around from one poker site to another as you take advantage of more and more promotions at the various sites once you reach this level. The whole experience is going to become more and more fun and fulfilling too. It's not only about your skill in poker. I'm doing the hard work for you finding the best bargains. All you've got to do is take advantage of them. You might run across some on your own that I haven't mentioned. If you find anything outstanding, please do email me and I'll check it out for our readers and give you the credit in these articles. If you decide to download a poker site I haven't mentioned, please think of us here at VegasTexasHoldem.NET before you download and join up. It's possible that either my wife or myself already have an account there and we can offer you some money using their refer-a-friend program, the same way we are offering you free money to join Poker.com. Some of the sites give $50 to the referring friend (us) and $25 to the referred friend (you). In such cases we would consider switching it around so that you get the $50 and we only get the $25. In some cases that won't work out for us because most sites require both the referring friend and the referred friend to play raked hands in order to clear the bonus. Some of the raked hands requirements are much stiffer than Poker.com, but we will still consider it. Also, if the refer-a-friend option is no good for us, we may already have a banner up for the site you're thinking of joining, even though I haven't written anything about the site. If so, please start the download process by clicking on our banner if you think our site has been useful to you. That way, after you become a rich online poker player and you decide to splurge at the $10-$20 no limit cash game, we'll make a little money off the deal so we can bring you more great features (such as private "live at the Caesars Palace Las Vegas" VegasTexasHoldem.NET $10,000 buy-in tournaments where you can win your way there with cheap buy-in satellites at places like Absolute Poker or Poker.com). You can expect an article from me on Step 6, on or about November 5th. Let me know how you're doing with all of this by emailing me at paul@vegastexasholdem.net.
