Step 2
This is the 2nd of about 7 articles on how to get to the World Series of Poker with little or no monetary investement. Step 2 begins with Bodog Poker. In addition to their "cheap seats WSOP/WPT" tourneys, some of which may be satellites for World Series of Poker Circuit Tour events rather than the real World Series of Poker, Bodog is a great place to build a nice bankroll. They have many shortfall tourneys (tournaments that pay out more than they bring in). If you can't deposit there, you can start building a bankroll with their $1,000 freerolls with re-buys & add-ons, (don't take any of the R & A even if you have the money in your account). These $1K freerolls are held daily at 8:45 PM U.S. Eastern time. Once you've won a little or deposited at Bodog from winnings at other sites, you should definitely look for the shortfall tournaments and compete in them to automatically build your bankroll assuming you are an average player at the buy-in level you choose. Absolute Poker sponsors a lot of private tourneys you should take advantage of, just as you should do with Titan Poker (see Step 1). You're going to have a lot of fun with Absolute Poker if you have the patience. The tournaments are slow because the blinds go up very slowly compared to tourneys at most other sites. This makes skill more of a determining factor than luck. You can do well at Absolute by using a tight strategy that takes advantage of other players' tendencies to become bored and impatient as the tournament wears on.
