World Series of Poker - Terms & Conditions
1. Employees and immediate family members of employees of Poker.com, its associated companies, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to take part in the Promotion. Entry to the Promotion is limited to those people who are resident in countries where their registration and use of the Poker.com cardroom is permitted by the law of their country.
2. The World Series of Poker Championship Event will be held from July 28 to August 10 2006.
3. Poker.com reserves the right to ask for proof of age from any customer and customer accounts may be suspended until satisfactory proof of age is provided. Entrants to the World Series of Poker must be at least 21 years of age. Players who are less than 21 years and who qualify for the World Series of Poker will not be able to participate and will not be refunded.
4. By downloading the Poker.com software and registering an account, a customer is deemed to have fully accepted and understood all rules, terms and conditions published by this website.
5. The Promoter does not accept liability for any of the World Series of Poker Tournaments not taking place, being postponed or delayed for circumstances beyond their control. Any disputes relating to the provision of the Prize must be taken up with Poker.com.
6. Prizes are non-transferable. Qualifiers cannot sell, transfer, or award their World Series of Poker Tournaments seat or prize package to anybody else. In the event that a prize winner is unable to attend the World Series of Poker, the entire prize package will be forfeited.
7. Prize winners will be given exclusive Poker.com merchandise & apparel. You will be required to wear this apparel whenever you are participating in any World Series of Poker event or participating in any Poker.com sponsored event (as requested by Poker.com representatives).
8. Poker.com reserves the right to alter, modify or terminate the Promotion and/or these Terms at any time, without giving any prior notice (written or verbal) where it is reasonable to do so or for reasons beyond the Poker.com's control. Poker.com does not accept any responsibility or liability for any late or undelivered entries or registrations, notifications or communications or for any form of technical failure, error, malfunction or difficultly or for any other event beyond its reasonable control that may cause the operation of the Promotion to be disrupted, unavailable or incorrect.
9. Prize package winners will be eligible to receive the following from Poker.com
- $US 10,000 buy-in paid to the World Series of Poker Main Event
- $US 2,500 deposited to your Poker.com account to cover travel and accomodation expenses
- Invitations to any Poker.com sponsored events (TBA)
- Poker.com VIP gift bag, containing Poker.com and merchandise & apparel and other assorted goodies.
10. Poker.com reserves the right to cancel or postpone satellite tournaments in the event that a server problem or internet routing problem prevents many players from accessing the site.
11. Poker.com is not affiliated with or related to the World Series of Poker or Harrahs Casino Hotels. The WSOP chip logo remains the property of Harrah's Casino Hotels.
12. By qualifying to the World Series of Poker Main Event through Poker.com, you grant Poker.com full rights to record your identity, likeness and voice in connection with the World Series of Poker Main Event, and to use this in any manner as Poker.com may choose, in any and all media and manner throughout the world now known or later developed, for any purpose whatsoever including (but not limited to) production, distribution, broadcast, advertising and promotion.
13. It is the responsibility of Poker.com players that earn eligibility to World Series of Poker satellite tournaments to register and play in the schedule satellite tournaments. No compensation will be offered to players that earn eligibility, but then do not play in a World Series of Poker satellite tournament.
