Harrah's World Series of Poker Circuit Event at Caesars Palace

Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. today announced new dates and an expanded schedule for its World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas this spring. This event is not to be confused with the 2006 World Series of Poker. The real WSOP starts in July and culminates in a $10,000 buy-in event for which you can win a seat for free or very little investment (5 cents or so).

A new $5,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event will feature four games - Hold'em, Omaha, stud and stud eight or better.

The expanded 14-day schedule begins April 28 and concludes May 11 with the finals of the $10,000 buy-in no-limit Hold'em championship. The winner of that event receives prize money and qualifies to play in the 2006 Tournament of Champions(SM), a freeroll competition in which 27 players will vie for $2 million in prize money.

The Caesars Palace Circuit will mark the return of poker to the famed resort after a 15-year hiatus. The Circuit event will also be the first major poker tournament in the spectacular new, 6,000-square-foot private tournament room at Caesars. The tournament room is adjacent to the new 30-table poker room, which will offer non-stop live-game action to players eliminated from Circuit events, as well as other Caesars' customers.

There are six remaining stops in the 2005-06 Circuit season. Remaining stops include: Harrah's® Atlantic City Feb. 7-17, Harrah's Rincon Feb. 26- March 7, Caesars Atlantic City March 21-31, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas April 28-May 11, Harrah's New Orleans May 18-28 and Harrah's Lake Tahoe June 6-16.
